The Humane Society of Kodiak has operated the Kodiak Animal Shelter for the City of Kodiak since 1995, becoming a "no kill" shelter for friendly, adoptable pets in 1997. We are committed to the prevention of cruelty of animals through education and by promoting responsible pet ownership, reducing the population of abandoned pets through spay/neuter programs and to promote the proper care of animals impounded at the shelter. We are the only such service provider in the Kodiak Archipelago.
