Cookeville/Putnam County Animal Shelter is the adoption arm of the local Animal Control Agency. We adopt to individuals from all over the USA who have a valid, government issued photo id and are over the age of 18. We only accept animals that originated in Putnam County from Putnam County residents. Proof of residence is required. Intake appointments are necessary, and fees do apply. We accept Cash or Checks only.
