Women's Animal Center
Animal shelter
About
Founded in 1869 as the First Animal Shelter and Adoptions Program in America, Women's Animal Center offers a variety of services to the Greater Philadelphia region, including dog training classes, physical rehabilitation, and humane education programs. We assist thousands of animals in need every year through our adoption, fostering and lost and found programs. As part of our nonprofit mission, Women's Animal Center provides high-quality, low-cost veterinary care to families in need, striving to make pet ownership affordable and helping to keep animals in their homes and out of shelters. All proceeds raised through veterinary service fees support the shelter of the stray, abandoned and abused animals under Women's Animal Center's care.
