SPCA In Cattaraugus County
Animal shelter
About
The SPCA in Cattaraugus County, is a private, non-profit, no-kill charity animal shelter, and was founded in 1905. We are dedicated to saving the lives of animals, and providing adoption services for homeless and neglected animals. Donations and Fundraisers account for approximately 70%+ of our yearly income. We are the largest animal shelter in New York’s southern tier. In 1984, we moved into a building located on 11 acres, with significantly more space than our previous location. We have 58 dog kennels (indoor/outdoor) and 4 rooms dedicated to housing cats including 2 open cat rooms that allow the cats to romp & play without being confined to a cage. Seven large outdoor play yards are used as exercise areas for the dogs.
