Rochester Animal Services is the City of Rochester's open admission animal services agency. That means we do not discriminate based on breed or type. However, through managed intake, we operate within our capacity for care to support the best outcomes. We serve Rochester's people and animals to create safe neighborhoods, support the human-animal bond, and save and enhance lives. Our offices and animal shelter/resource center are located on Verona Street. Our non-profit partner organization Verona Street Animal Society provides support through fundraising and promotions to enable us to better serve our shared mission.
