Brown County Humane Society - Kansas
Animal shelter
About
The Brown County Humane Society was created in 1997 and opened a shelter in 2015. The shelter is located in Hiawatha, KS, but services 3 counties. We are a small, no kill shelter run mostly by volunteers. In 2018, over 350 dogs and cats came into our shelter. We work hard to find the best homes possible for all the animals. They become like family to us and we love them until they find their forever family. Our Mission Statement: the purpose of this society is the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals and the extension of humane education.
