The Yavapai Humane Society Equine Center operates in a very similar way as the YHS Main campus does for dogs and cats. We take in equines (horses, mules, donkeys, and more) after we provide a veterinarian medical exam and is then approved for surrender. After surrender, there is a 10 day quarantine period. All equines are given full seasonal vaccinations, farrier work, dentals if needed, medical and behavioral exams and they are then put up for adoption. Adoption fees vary based on age, rideability, and if they are papered. Check yavapaihumane. org to see what horses are available. Equines are available to be seen on appointment basis only.
