The Haven

About

The Haven is a no-kill animal shelter recognized for having one of the highest save rates in Alabama. This reputation leads many people to bring their pets or found strays to us instead of open admission animal control shelters. While we would love to help every animal, we must responsibly care for those already under our protection. Therefore, we pull homeless cats and dogs from local partnering open admission shelters. The Haven does not take animals from the general public. Our animals, pulled from partnering shelters, are often those scheduled for euthanasia due to space and resource constraints.
